Very nicely done! :)

Had the winter textures on my todo list, but was occupied with the bone. So I guess more time for the bone now ;)

When it is about to be finished, we should upload this airport to the scenery database.

Keep it up,
glazmax

Hi Fahim and glazmax,

THIS is what I call a good cooperation, thank you guys!!!

Glazmax made a very good basic work and Fahim put the cream on the cake.
I won't say anything about our professinal "Bone" glazmax but it is nice to see Fahim's constant activity around FlightGear and how he really learned a lot. Keep on your good work.

Just downloaded the stuff and will get to work tomorrow with burning eyes due to lacking sleep - but I HAVE to test it NOW :D

Hi Fahim,

Easy :

- browse to http://www.geoportail.fr/visu2D.do?ter=metropole
- in "Aller à", click on Courchevel, then "J'y vais"
- In the "Aucun résultat" windows, click on "Affiner"
- Click on Courchevel 1850.

This will give you more pictures. You just have to go south of this position, and you will see the airport.

You also have the official SIA map : http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/ ... 2.LFLJ.pdf

Good luck !

I tried the updated version of LFLJ yesterday and saw two problems:
-the Tower has a red hue (no texture applied?)
-the parking positions above the airfield are not mapped, that means that I start in the air about 300 feet above the old (non-updated) runway.

Also the errorbox is showing something about a missing object called "conifer2" or something like that but I guess that's not so important.
all the booze is free, airline goin' broke, here come the ladies with another jack'n'coke... :P

it gives a lot of pictures... but they're copyrighted... look here (only in french...) and you'll see this:
Les illustrations, le contenu éditorial, les divers éléments de la charte graphique ainsi que les données cartographiques issues de la consultation en ligne figurant sur notre site sont la propriété de l'IGN et/ou du BRGM. L'utilisation de ces documents ou d'éléments ponctuels est soumise à l'accord préalable de ces deux établissements.

(which means (traducted by google): The illustrations, the editorial content, the various elements of the graphic and the map data from the online consultation on our site are the property of IGN and / or BRGM. The use of these materials or components point is subject to prior approval by the two institutions.)
so it looks like we can't use it...

Yes but Fahim wanted a picture from above, to have more details of the airport and surrounding area. This does not mean he took the textures from the aerial scene, don't worry ! This was just to enable him to have a good precision and knowledge about the runway and airport.

Hi all,

I think it was Fahim who asked me to take pictures of the buildings on LFLJ when visited there.

Well, I went there and took the pictures. Reading this thread I was wondering if they are still needed. The pics are on my camera. I can post them, next week (we are still underway at the time of writing).

In real life, it is a very interesting airport (or altiport as it is marked) too, but the flightear version
is more interesting :-) (because I can actually land at LFLJ in FG

On a different note: Geez, it is hard to type on a &é"""é french keyboard if you are used to qwerty!
