Pardon the possibly-dumb question, but being an "older" person I sometimes get confused...

When you folks say you're uploading these new scenery objects to "the database" does that mean they'll be available via terrasync? Or, does one have to go download and install something else?

Thanks!

Regards,

Chris

P.S. The Statue of Liberty looks absolutely amazing!!!

When the object is in the database, it took less than one day to be in terrasync.

What else can I do than agree with all kind words people in front of me posted about her Liberty! Excellent job!
Penta, I'd love to see a tutorial on our wiki on how to use the light-baking feature in Blender, in connection to FlightGear... :)

Thansk for all the positive feedback!

I've just sent the model to the database via ftp. It will available in some days I think. The only problem is that it is right in the middle of the water. Hope that the new terrain will correct this problem.

Time permitting, I will try to write a tutorial on how to illuminate texture with blender.

Please, send it to "Martin at Flightgear dot org". I tried using ftp before and no one uploaded it to the database. Martin is very efficient !

Let's pick this up again :) We still need more buildings to fill up Manhattan! If we all did one or two buildings, we'd be done right now ;)
Even very simple (untextured) models are welcome, as they can really give a place a skyline (see the Dubai topicfor an example).

Statto, any news on your shapefile? That could be a nice stimulant to work on the buildings...
