Ditto. I can edit such models on Blender, but other than that, I really have no clue what is so special...I mean, these are included by default in the Aircraft packages anyways, although granted they are .ac files, which don't open in the newer Blender versions. Only in 2.49b and below, which was out like eight years ago.

hello fg fans, i have same problems as HelldiverSquadron. i have been trying to build my nearest airport (VOML-mangalore international) in blender 2.6 on ubuntu. the problem is that i am not able to export it to .ac format from blender. i am eager to know is .3ds is supported in FGFS 2.6> ? aircrafts like A380 are functional in FGFS i am not sure whether or not buldings/sceneary will work... any suggestions, comments?

Hi,

there is a Blender Im/Exporter in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=13442&hilit=blender+exporter

The newest Download is near the End of the Thread. I use it regularly (for Export) and it works very well, up to Blender 2.64b.

Greetings

I have used the import/export script quite a lot (with Blender 2.64) and it has worked very well.
My guess is that there is something in the .ac file that breaks the parsing.
Do you have a link to the ac-file you want to import?

BTW: Two things to think of when exporting:
It exports selected objects. Select all objects that should be included in the .ac file.
You must create a UV-unwrap for all objects before exporting.

Found another repository:
http://www.cadnav.com/3d-models/architectural/

All models are free to use for commercial and non-commercial use as long as they re not sold by themselves. But as part of a project like FlightGear or an FGAddon aircraft there are no restrictions.
