Hovering building

Postby nixnerd » Sat Feb 17, 2018 2:52 am

I fly, regularly, around the airport, close to my home town, i'm just futzing around in a cessna 172, which I crash, as often as I land.......however, i've noticed recently, that what I can only describe as a hovering building, has been in my eyeline.....

where are you? the image is fuzzy and you don't have the HUD turned on so we can't even begin to start looking for the problem... i suspect it is a simple elevation problem that can be taken care of in the scenery editor... first we need to know where it is, though...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I've identified the object, The Doughnut Cheltenham in UK https://scenery.flightgear.org/app.php? ... ew&id=6880
I can edit the ac file or just change the Elevation Offset value on the database

i was thinking of fixing it via the elevation offset in the database... but it might be better to fix the ac so that it'll be on the ground no matter where it may be placed...

Thanks for finding this error.

I've already done the necessary adjustments.

Cheers,

Vic

It may not be updated today as the scenery validation system seems to be hung up at the present time.
