An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

Shader Request: Flags

Hi,

is it possible to simulate the fluttering of flags in the wind using a shader?
I'd like to place some flags in the scenery for our FSWeekend presentation showing the logo of our sponsor. But attaching a flat surface to a a flagpole looks just to cheap.

It should be possible to design a vertex shader that do that. I don't have code at hand for the moment, but I found that (google) :

Yes - that's what I was envisioning. If anybody with more shader-skill than myself was volunteering to make a flag-shader, I'd be able present it at FSWeekend ;-) I don't think, I find the time to work it out by myself in time for the show.
