Experimental Add-Ons?

An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

Yes, there is - read the whole thread, it has been carefully described here. :-)

Flight Pro Sim or frames per second? I have seen most people start lowercasing frames per second: fps and Flight Pro Sim is uppercase: FPS.

Just wondering!

Cheers

Huuuooo why should I support pirates! :( of course i meant frames per second.

What is the easiest way to get all of CVS on Linux? On the flightgear download site are lots of links....very confusing.
Thanks

copied the previous mentionned files and renamed the old to filexxOLD.xml

Now fgfs hangs with "initializing subsystems"

What shall I do?
Thanks

Here the howto:
http://flightgear.org/cvsResources/anoncvs.html

then you need to set up terrasync cvs (described is subforum above) and thats all you (almost ) ever need :D

Why are you reinterpreting the instructions given by the official FlightGear page ?
Please read again http://www.flightgear.org/cvs/anoncvs.html

Compiled and updated CVS on Linux but this doesn't seem to work? It even makes fgfs lurching like FSX.

Ok, @HHS- just to be clear, all I need to do are make those xml files you made links to in the specified directory (and the one posted afterwards)? I'm going to give it a try, if that's all you need to do.

Just did a complete uninstall and reinstall of the basic setup. added in the xml for the joystick and the files from this thread. Nothing else, no extra aircraft, or scenery. Same effect. Waffletown (chuckle). One thing I did notice in a video showing the urban effect not only was there a check box to enable it but also a slider. I didn't have the slider gui just the check box. Would that make the difference?

You need the CVS version (code+data) to reproduce the last videos. It's likely there is one or more texture missing in your setup.

You're probably right in that respect. Ah well, since compiling code has always been something way above my head, I'll have to wait until it's released or someone releases a win32 build of it. Pity that.
