Screen wash

An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

Screen wash

Is there a effect/shader that can be used to simulate a high power screen wash?
This is for my TSR2 WIP which had such a system to clear insect and other dirt from the pilot´s windscreen when operating at low level. It was filled with a concentrated detergent (Teepol). The aircraft was not fitted with windscreen wipers.
In the factory we used Teepol to clean many surfaces. During my training we also washed our hands in trichloroethane. ;)

I think it can be simulated somewhat by using the exhaust flame effect[1] for the washers during deployment (it can also be used to simulate water vapor) and then let the windscreen rain effect[2] take over.

This is also the exhaust effect in action:

Thanks Eric. It looks promissing and will give it a try.
My old style afterburner simulation could do with a makeover, so I can kill 2 birds with one stone.

That just sounds healthy, not!
