ALS Landing/Taxi lights

An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

Nope - I've been using them as such for the IDG-A32X's lights and it all looks good. :)

What do you mean by "Nope"? Which are you using? Got a screen shot or two?

Edit: And once again I want to thank you for your help with the compiled version for Ubuntu. FG 2019.2.0 is working splendid!
I will presume the "Nope" was a response to my "Any thoughts?" question.

I'm using lightspots only.

Screenshots to follow.

That's what I'm talking about! Now you can see where you are going!

I use only lightspot lights now. I wanted to test the standard landing lights to give them a fair shot, but they didn't do the job.

Edit: I would like them to illuminate stuff like the Sun does in the sim, so you could see grass, dirt, other aircraft, etc.. That may be asking a little much.

I will admit I would like to have more control over where the lights are positioned and their size. I believe we can at least position the "alt" secondary light.

Wayne, you certainly know enough effect and shader magic to implement that yourself... After all, you did the vertical offset back then.

Yeah, that's fair.

There are a million things I would like in FG that I could accomplish in time, I obviously want the AirCrane farther along first. Of course that is right after I finish staining my decks and painting my house, after I get home from trying to fill my freezer with meat.

That's something that continually impresses me about your FG accomplishments, time management and production, super human! :)
