Flickering atmoshpere in Earthview

An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

Split off from Space Shuttle - Help

Has anyone ever seen the atmoshpere in Earthview flickering? In the dialog, mie factor is cycling between 0.001 and 0.003 while raleigh factor is cycling between 0.00014 and 0.00029. Density factor is shifting between 0.3 and 1.0. I'm at a loss - if I turn off Atmoshperic Light Scattering in the Earthview window, it stops. It also stops flickering when I turn off basic weather.

There's also this:

Flickering atmosphere is usually a control fight between AW and Earthview and 'this' is a numerical artifact in the shader computations (which run on floating point precision but get *really* large numbers to crunch from space).

Yes, I get it and I think for me the correct fix is to turn off the weather engine that is causing it, I thought it was AW, so I can continue to use light scattering.
