ALS Lights follow view?

An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

So, it can't be disabled, then enabled again from inside?

Sure - but that's up to you to code (note that things like a searchlight or so might still make sense from external view, and there's internal views from which the projection does not work, so there's nothing done automatically).

The C-172p has a solution which switches techniques (secondary light to lightspot) when going to external views - you may want to adopt that (or may want to wait for Richard's scheme to materialize, which will make the math of that easier).

Ok, awesome.

If you note that the light doesn't appear again until the view is moved from the interior. Is it on a setlistener that I can trigger to make it appear right away?

I'm not sure what is going on there, you're the first to report this, I've never seen it myself.

It might fix itself by triggering a re-apply of the state when you automatically switch it off in outside view...

OK. I'll try it out.

Kind Regards,
