Grass and rotor wash ?

An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

Grass and rotor wash ?

Using 2017.3.1, how do I enable the rotor wash effect on the grass? Or is it something I need to change in the model/FDM to enable the rotor wash?

Needs to be enabled aircraft-side. See

for all the specs (every ALS specific effect is documented there) - it's a bit ugly to do because of eye coordinates, but both Heiko Schulz and Wayne Bragg have code for their helicopters.

If you ask nicely they might let you have a look.
