Can FG make this kind of tire smoke?

An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

It's really more a matter of adjusting the smoke emitter parameter to get the smoke to look more like you wish. I wrote a little blog entry on my efforts to create a better smoke trail system here:

http://gallinazo.flightgear.org/simulat ... ear-smoke/

Many of the existing smoke configs could be improved substantially (but most aircraft designers I think just copy configs from other places and don't dig deep into how to make the smoke look better.)

There is still plenty of room for improvement, but here is a short video showing the smoke result I came up with (recommend you watch it full screen) :-)
