Cel shader in Compositor

An exciting "new" option in FlightGear, that includes reflections, lightmaps, the particle system etc.. A lot is yet to be discovered/implemented!

Cel shader in Compositor

Postby RookieDave » Fri Aug 05, 2022 10:27 am

hello
Does anyone have advice on where to start creating a cel shade/line-art shader for FG ? It seems like Compositor is the best place to do this, is it even possible? The look I imagine would work very well is something like Sable (on Steam) and the artwork of Moebius. Flat colour and shadows and an outline. Could be cool no?
thanks, I did search the forum for similar posts and found nothing

You might want to take a look at the night-vision shader which does post process the scenery.
I think that would work for the cel shader too.
