Building FlightGear from source, and in the need for help?

didn't match: qml-module-qtquick-controls2

Hello,

so I bit the bullet and tried to compile the sources,
Code: Select all
./download_and_compile.sh -s -j3  --fg-cmake-arg='FG_LAUNCHER=OFF' SIMGEAR FGFS

but I get the error
Code: Select all
...
[ 15%] Building CXX object src/GUI/CMakeFiles/fglauncher.dir/QtLauncher.cxx.o
...
make[2]: *** [src/GUI/CMakeFiles/fglauncher.dir/QtLauncher.cxx.o] Error 1
CMakeFiles/Makefile2:2615: recipe for target 'src/GUI/CMakeFiles/fglauncher.dir/all' failed
make[1]: *** [src/GUI/CMakeFiles/fglauncher.dir/all] Error 2
Makefile:149: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

The following optional package alternative(s) didn't match:

  qml-module-qtquick-controls2

If I understand what is going on, there is an unmet dependency on qml-module-qtquick-controls2, which is correct, because there is no qtquick-controls2 candidate on my Ubuntu 16.04.
I tried to disable the launcher, but obviously not in a correct way.

Two questions:
1. is disabling the launcher enough to skip dependency on qtquick-controls2?
2. if yes, how do I properly disable the launcher during build?

Got a PM tip on the correct cmake option to disable QT.
Success, build completed and it runs :)
