Flightgear crashes at startup

Postby Onul » Wed Jun 26, 2019 8:02 am

Flightgear crashes at startup. I get this error message:

Code: Select all
opening file: /usr/share/games/FlightGear/Navaids/carrier_nav.dat
/usr/share/games/FlightGear/Navaids/TACAN_freq.dat
Initialising callsign using 'Aircraft/c172p/Models/c172p.xml'
freeglut (fgfs): Failed to create cursor
freeglut  ERROR:  Function <glutSetCursor> called without first calling 'glutInit'.

I tried emerging freeglut-3.0.0 which failed. Are there other ways to get flightgear started?

how, exactly, did you install your flightgear?
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
