Help compiling Flightgear with cmake

Postby ASB131 » Fri May 04, 2018 6:42 pm

(posted in the wrong section last time)
im trying to compile flightgear with cmake to create the visual studio 2010

however im a little lost what this part is referring to
Code: Select all
${MSVC_3RDPARTY_ROOT} /
3rdParty /                 ( includes plib, fltk, zlib, libpng,
                                   libjpeg, libtiff, freetype, libsvn,
                                   gdal, ... )
         bin /
         include /
         lib /
      3rdParty.x64 /             ( 64 bit version )
         ...
      boost_1_44_0 /
         boost /
      install /
         msvc100 /               ( for VS2010 32 bits, or msvc90,
                                   msvc90-64 or msvc100-64 for VS2008 32,
                                   VS2008 64 and VS2010 64 )
            OpenSceneGraph /     ( OSG CMake install )
               bin /
               include /
               lib /
            SimGear /
               include /
               lib /

also when i try to compile it it returns this
Image

i know there is something im doing wrong. any help would be appreciated, im kind of new to this, but i would like to get involved.
if it is possible could someone else build the project file and then send it over, or would that not work?
Regards.

Hi ASB131,

You are not doing anything wrong. There is a configuration update required to support Visual Studio 2017.
I'll submit a patch to the core developers.

I also tried to compile Flightgear with VC2017 but as expected it didn't worked (even with only changing some parameters in the CMakeList.txt)

Any news on that?
