Building FlightGear from source, and in the need for help?

download_and_compile.sh necessary qtdeclarative5-dev

I try to compile the last version of FGFS (2017.2.0 2017-04-14) with download_and_compile.sh script for Linux Mint 18.1 The compilation abort because the absence of "qtdeclarative5-dev" the error is signal by the "QQmlEngine" absence. I found that the module is include in the "qtdeclarative5-dev" package.

For resolve the problem I inserted this line code (#QT5) in the script:

Code: Select all
#######################################################
# Minimum
...
...
# FGo
PKG="$PKG python-tk"
# QT5
PKG="$PKG qtdeclarative5-dev"

I think it's important that person who maintains the script insert this line of code.

unfortunately there is no one person that maintains that script... i submitted changed to fix the debug build stuff... they were finally applied by rebecca but not all of them and how i actually did them... i don't know why it was changed but at least the debug works now... torsten or thorsten submitted a change so that the script looks up version info now... there's been another couple of changes to it, too... all by different people...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
