Build in Eclipse on Ubuntu

Can anyone tell me how to build flightgear under eclipse with CDT? I am using ubuntu.

I can get flightsim to build but not flightgear.

By "flightsim" did you mean "SimGear"?

My suggestion would be to refer to the NetBeans instructions (wiki) and rework/adapt those according to Eclipse - if in doubt, you could also document your whole journey by using the NetBeans wiki article as a template for creating a new tutorial specifically targeting Eclipse. At that point, you may also get more people interested, and involved, in helping with this, even if just by posting the corresponding screenshots and reviewing your instructions

Yes, I meant "simgear" not "flightsim".

If I do get Eclipse to compile the program I will document it as suggested. I was in hope that some had already blazed that trail.

It is a little premature to make any commitments, but my thoughts are that I would like to pursue some work with HLA and/or sim state capture and restore capability. I am just getting started with flightgear and obviously have a lot to learn.

Assuming that you know C++ and the corresponding IDE (Eclipse in this case), it should be too difficult to work with the NetBeans instructions and treat them as a template for coming up with a corresponding Eclipse equivalent: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Howto:Build_ ... sing_CMake

The main thing to keep in mind is that OSG, SG and FG are all using cmake meanwhile - so all you need is a corresponding workspace, which cmake can create automatically.
It's not exactly rocket science, as long as you are willing to document the whole journey, I am sure that there are people around here who can walk you through the whole thing.
