Nightly builds over SVN?

Postby agough » Wed May 06, 2015 5:10 pm

Hi guys, bit of a noobish question...

Is there any way of getting the contents of the latest Windows nightly build over SVN (or something else like it), so that each time a different build comes out, I can simply update my files, rather than download the whole thing again? I know I can just do that with the source code and build it myself, but compiling is rather slow on my system.

Thanks for your help! :D

it's all on the build server, so you could set up a job to regularly check for new files and download - which would be much better than using SVN for binary files.
Alternatively, you could team up with others to set up a torrent and set up uTorrent (or similar) to check for updates that way.
Either way, SVN is probably not a good tool for the job (in fact, even just rsync would be more suitable for the job).
