64 and 32 bit compiling conflicts

Postby wlbragg » Sat Feb 28, 2015 8:46 pm

I need some help configuring my system.

This is on a Windows platform.

I had a successful installation of the terragear toolchain 32bit (including the GUI)

I wanted to compile FlightGear with 64bit so I configured the system to use Visual Studios (Win7 SDK) and the metabuild. Win7 SDK was the only way I could figure out how to get a 64 bit compiler on my system under Visual Studios. This worked after a long and arduous journey. If I remember correctly that required a 64 bit QT dependency for something so I had to reinstall QT64bit.

Now when I want to compile terragear 32bit it is failing starting at cgal (from what I can tell, from the 64bit QT).

Now my questions are.

Is anyone successfully doing both 64 and 32 bit in this way on Windows platform?
or
Can terragear tool-chain be compiled 64bit? If so, anyone have a script to do this laying around?

I also read about being able to have both 32 bit and 64 bit QT installations simultaneously and being able to switch between the two. That didn't look to be a particularly simple task.
