Are zips from the Jenkins server working for other folks?

Postby jimkberry » Sun Oct 06, 2013 4:14 pm

Today when I try to fetch any build artifacts from the Jenkins server as zips, the resulting files are are corrupt: Win7 complains that the zip is invalid, 7Zip can open and read the file directory, but when you try to access anything it claims that an unsupported compression method was used (probably just means the underlying file is corrupt.)

Searching through the forums for "jenkins invalid zip" I see a couple of posts in the past few days by people mentioning similar issues, but no replies.

Is it just me (us)?

The current windows build on Jenkins is failing due to a simgear code change that is incompatible with MSVC. That may be the root cause.

Maybe.

But what I'm trying to download are the OSG-stable-Win artifacts, which were built on Sept 16.

OK, maybe I should try another tack:

Would someone (anyone - doesn't need to be a developer or anything like that) please go to:

http://flightgear.simpits.org:8080/view/Win/job/OSG-stable-Win/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/

then select "All files in Zip" to download, and then just try to unzip the resulting file?

All I'm looking for here is to find out if the problem is me or the build server.

Thanks,

Yes there is an issue. As I've said in another thread, I've informed those that can fix it, buy so far.they have no clue what got broken (they didn't change anything recently)...

It says file corrupt when I try to unzip with Winzip.
Winrar and z-zip also fail.

Thanks to both of you.

@Gijs: Sorry, I didn't see that thread.

It's fixed now, there was a bug in Jenkins (the build server software).
