Compiling OpenSceneGraph

Postby statto » Mon Mar 05, 2012 7:48 pm

Stupid question here.

Code: Select all
cd $srcdir
svn co http://www.openscenegraph.org/svn/osg/OpenSceneGraph/tags/OpenSceneGraph-3.0.1 OpenSceneGraph
mkdir osg-build && cd osg-build
cmake -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE="Release" -DLIB_POSTFIX="" \
      -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH="$prefix" $srcdir/OpenSceneGraph
make install

If I've downloaded the files to home/username/openscenegraph - what value should I assign to $srcdir.

This: "srcdir=home/username/openscenegraph"
...provided there is an "OpenSceneGraph" (note spelling) directrory in "home/username/openscenegraph"

Other than that, you can leave out line 1 and simply pass the full path to the source folder to CMake ("PATHTOSOURCEFOLDER" placeholder).

Code: Select all
svn co http://www.openscenegraph.org/svn/osg/OpenSceneGraph/tags/OpenSceneGraph-3.0.1 OpenSceneGraph
mkdir osg-build && cd osg-build
cmake -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE="Release" -DLIB_POSTFIX="" \
      -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH="$prefix" PATHTOSOURCEFOLDER
make install

Also, make sure that you have a path assigned to the "prefix" variable.
Do a barrel roll!
