Wanted : Aircraft testers for 2020.3

Postby stuart » Wed Aug 19, 2020 10:25 pm

Hi Folks,

As we continue to work towards the 2020.3 release, we need some help in validating that all the aircraft as in as good a state as possible.

We've set up a simple test procedure, with the idea that people adopt an aircraft, and do a fairly simple test flight to check that it is basically sound.

Details can be found on the wiki here: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Aircraft_testing_checklist

It's important that you do your testing using the 2020.2 or failing that, the 2020.1 preview release. Please don't use 2018.3 or "next"!

This is a great way to contribute, and also to try flying a new aircraft.

Thanks,

-Stuart

It sounds a bit odd not to use next, when you are testing towards 2020.3?

That's because the 2020.3 release will be derived from the 2020.2 branch, not "next".

(The versioning of "next" as 2020.3 is incorrect)
