I'm still in progress of analysing the data.
Might take me a could of days (or weeks, depending on how much time I have) to do that. I'll pulish the results, when I've got them. One part at a time.

Unless you pay me to do so, there are other things with higher priority... So I'll get to it, when I've got the time to do so!

If I remember correctly, you mentioned previously that the back-end supports sharing/exporting the corresponding data in the form of CSV files - so, if you could share those with the community, I am sure that there'll be enough volunteers to create a spreadsheet and some nice diagrams from that CSV data ?

Sure... I could(tm) do that...

The program shows me already diagrams and such which I could simply use.

But the real power of such data comes from relations.

Like how many do contribute depending on age or years of using flightgear.

I am sure that sharing the underlying data and maybe some preliminary results, will encourage people to come up with additional metrics / stats.
So I wouldn't overcomplicate things here - consider this a test run, and maybe use it for a future survey.

For instance, how many people did you even get to participate ? Like I said, such a survey would be ideally advertized via the website/forum, and possibly even in-sim - to ensure that the number of participants is actually representative, and not well below a hundred ;-)

Actually, there are over 200 replies...

I might be inclied to share the data with one or two to help me build the statistics I want to have...

Just share a few (2-3) screen shots of stats/metrics to get people interested in this, and I am sure there will be volunteers to help create additional diagrams

PS: "The only statistics you can trust are those you falsified yourself"

That's why I don't hand out the data just yet ;-)

I am sure there are more than just a few folks around who are familiar with CLI tools like gnuplot, so that visualizing your stats should not be too much manual work - you could share a subset to see for yourself.
