ok... i did go ahead, though, and switch out "native" for "bdver2" and rebuilt everything... surprisingly enough, all of the generated binaries are somewhat smaller... not much, though... only 2k at most but many were only a few hundred bytes smaller... these are only the binaries in the FG install directory... i didn't save and look at any of the .so files...

not sure i'm seeing any sort of speed increases... maybe 1 FPS but nothing really discernible... i didn't really expect there would be any...

i would love to acquire a new better NVIDIA video card, though... i can't help thinking that it would be better than the GT730 i'm using now... i have two and there's really no difference in operation between them even though one has 1Meg and the other has 2Meg onboard...
