FlightGear 2017.3

Postby wirkusp » Sat Aug 19, 2017 9:36 pm

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to ask what happened to FG 2017.3 since the wiki states it should have been released two days ago.
Has anybody an answer?

Kind regards

The third release for the year is usually delayed because of school holidays.

It will be released between August 28th and September 10th (to give developers some time after the holidays for testing/last minute bugfixing).

So tell me... any news?

I'm itching to start work with some of the new nasal flightplan stuff.

Kind Regards,

I'm happy to announce that Torsten created the 2017.3 branches about an hour and a half ago; the build server is currently creating the release candidates. The final version should be available quite soon.

Just downloaded the 2017.3.1 RC: Short flight from LEMG to LEPA, first impressions....well done guys..frame rate MUCH improved, no hiccups for me even thogh its a RC release, look forward to the "de-bugged" release, even though the RC didn't give me any problems! As I always say....you guys do a stirling job for a FREE simulator and thanks again "Et-Al"

Are you sure? As it's not actually showing up on the official flightgear homepage http://www.flightgear.org/download/ Is this version the "stable" version or still the "RC" version?
