-Enough parking space for big jets and small aircraft
-Sometimes challenging weather
-20-30 miles south of this airport lies a big mountain range so approaching from the south with a big jet can be challenging but also fun.
-VFR flights are also fun because of the mountain range and big valleys. Try for instance LSZH-LOWI.
-And from Zurich it is not far to other big airports/cities (Paris, Frankfurt, Lyon, Milan)

That scenery doesn't seem to work anymore for some reason. Lots of buildings are missing, no idea why.

Can it be the lod-bare problem? Try to start with

--prop:/sim/rendering/static-lod/bare=20000

That is, add that to your options in the launcher or command line.

Actually, for me, all I did was change all the .xml files in the .stg file of the scenery to .ac. I tried it in RPLL, and it worked.

that will work until the next time you update via terrasync and it puts all the original files back in place... unless you put your modded files in your custom scenery directory tree...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Or if you use Terramaster...

yes, all of the scenery updaters update from the terrasync scenery servers ;)
