A call for FlightGear wiki logos for the 3rd party hangars.

The visuals of this new infobox could be improved, including improved layout, icons, and pre-shrunk graphics (i.e. a better resizing algorithm). I'm trying to present the information as compactly as possible. As for the other logos, I'm quite short on time at the moment, so I am slowly updating aircraft wiki pages that are currently incompatible with the new template prior to switching to the new template. That is a very quick change, doing them one-by-one. I'll soon update template, switching to your Helijah, HerbyW, and It0uchpods banners. Ok, done

I have now set up the FGUK hangar aircraft on the wiki to use the File:Fguk.png logo, eg:

This file can be updated to a new logo when desired.

The efforts are starting to pay off

Hi Michat,

I was wondering if I could ask you one more favour for a hangar graphic? I have created a special category for wiki pages of aircraft that have disappeared:

[wiki] Category:Bermuda Triangle

This rather special hangar category is designed to help manage these lost aircraft. The category will include aircraft for which the developer has given up half way through, 3rd party hangars which have been lost, aircraft with dead download links on file sharing servers, severely out of date articles, etc. Do you think you could be creative and design a banner for these lost aircraft? This is set in the updated aircraft infobox as the bermuda hangar parameter value, but the current hangar text is rather unsatisfactory. Some aircraft examples are:

Hi Bugman,

I am wondering if I can have a 2nd hangar. I just started making off-road vehicles and want to create a second hangar just for these vehicles. I will still maintain my old hangar, so you shouldn't need to worry about it.

Well, it's up to you to keep it simple for your users. For the {{infobox aircraft}} template and its use of the {{hangar banner}} template on the wiki, the height of your graphic needs to be minimal - the banner graphic needs to be wide but not tall.

Also, feel free to expand these two templates for your hangars. If you are not confident, you can test this with sandboxes (go to your wiki user page, then append /hangar_banner, etc. to the URL, copy and paste the template contents in your sandbox, modify, test it, and then copy the changes to the real template).

Note in the {{infobox aircraft}} wiki template that you can set the devel-repo and download parameters automatically for your new hangar. For example in Panto RS1, you can set the aircraft parameter to Panto-RS1, and then automatically add these. Most other hangars already do this.
