Next release clarifications

Postby Red Leader » Sat Dec 19, 2015 8:03 pm

Hi all,

Having been following this mailing thread, I would like to have some things clarified before updating (parts of) the wiki:

  1. Any decision on the next release name?
  2. When will the relevant version files in Git be changed?
  3. With bugfix releases, am I right in saying that the period between quarterly releases (e.g., x.1.1 to x.2.1) will correspond to our be the release candidate period that we currently have?
Other than the above questions, the suggestions are fine by me (including default airport rotation).

Regards,
Red Leader

Best would be to participate in the mailing list, as that's where this is being discussed ;-)
I don't think anything is completely set in stone yet, looking at the thread everything is pretty fluid and opinions are welcome (proposals are subject to change). Thus, I'd suggest to wait changing the release plan article.
