mapserver

Postby gsagostinho » Sat Oct 24, 2015 12:46 pm

Hi all,

Is anyone else having troubles with our mapserver as well? The tiles aren't loading properly to me (they appear and disappear) and some locations of the map doesn't load any tiles at all (e.g. Dubai). Is there any problem going on with their server?

Cheers,
Gilberto

could it be related to Can't download new maps??
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Yes, it could be related. Here is what is happening to me:

When I open the page, everything seems normal:

If I click on the map or search for an airport's ICAO, the page directs me to the large world map and the tiles starts flickering, going red and pink, disappearing altogether:

And flickering:

Some areas in the world, such as Middle East, are particularly affected:

yeah, if both openradar(?) and what you are doing pull from the same server, there will be problems because of the dead drive that is awaiting replacement and resyncing or whatever it is they need to do to fix the problem...

I don't know if openradar and the mapserver use the same server, but I guess that the issue is related as you say. I will just wait a bit and see how it goes, hopefully it will be fixed in a couple of days with the HD replacement.
