Vote for FlightGear as "SourceForge Project of the Month"

Postby Torsten » Tue Sep 15, 2015 9:42 pm

Our project has been selected for the for November "Community Choice" Project of the Month Vote. The vote is conducted on SourceForge and runs through October 15th. The blog post linking to this vote, that will go live Wednesday, is

@ https://sourceforge.net/blog/community- ... ember-2015, and the vote itself is

@ https://sourceforge.net/p/potm/discussi ... d/63fc371e

Anyone with a SourceForge account is eligible to vote. They require a SourceForge account because they have had problems with users trying to abuse the vote without some sort of authentication.

The Project of the Month gets listed on top of the SourceForge.net website's front page, which is also linked to an interview about our project. The interview remains on their site in perpetuity so we can use the link to talk about our project, our community, and so on. Interviews are conducted by email. And we'll also be listed on http://sourceforge.net/potm.

Please show your support of FlightGear and make sure to vote. Voting should start tomorrow (Wednesday, Sep. 15th).

I'd just like to ask that the FGMEMBERS problem not be mentioned; i.e. it reflects badly on us as a whole.
Assuming we win :)

When I try to register to vote tomorrow, it asks for a job title.
Where do I sign up properly, so I can vote without a job title?

What problem?

Where do I sign up properly, so I can vote without a job title?

looking at the linked topic, i think it is safe to say that fgfs will get it again... unless there's voting via some other means, too...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
