possibly because you are on linux, or if windows it's 64 bit.

on windows 32bit the dll intl.dll does not build because of missing dependencies and therefor FRrun crash/starts.

This is what I get when I try and install the FGrun package after switching over to the edge PPA. FGrun is 3.5 in this PPA.

fgrun:
Depends: libsimgearcore3.5.0 but it is not installable
Depends: libsimgearscene3.5.0 but it is not installable
Recommends: flightgear but it is not going to be installed

Is 3.6 still planned to be "finished" and released, or will there now be a skip to 3.8? Some people are saying that but I haven't read anything about it...

As far as I can tell from the mailing list discussion, it's quite clear that 3.6 won't be released. The devs are also considering some changes to the release process and release frequency.

Please, not this discussion any more........... I don't find it cool that this appeared in the list either, but let's not migrate it here to the forum as well after it already stopped being discussed over there...

It was briefly mentioned once and then discounted. Yes, please not this debate again.

First of all, all conversations in the mailing list are public. Second thing, the person who said FGMembers was taking tons of time was someone who did indeed spend tons of his time debating them. Let's please be reasonable and stop this non-sense now.

OK I see now why it was brought up. I think it was probably part of the problem. Maybe it didn't need to be mentioned..... I just hope someone fixes the problem that is causing my system to freeze in 3.6 and 3.7 after exiting fgfs and restarting. I'm either going to be stuck with 3.4 or just abandon Flightgear all together.
