Boeing 747-8i ILS Landing

Hello guys! I'm new in the forum. I have a quick question about ILS landing on the Boeing 747-8i. I tune the navigation system on the correct frequencies and everything, but I'm getting close to landing and press the LOC and APP buttons, it doesn't seem to work at all. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be useful
