Airbus A320-200 autopilot

Postby woniyo » Thu Oct 22, 2020 12:06 pm

I have a question regarding the autopilot code.
I am using Flightgear 2018.3.6 version.
The aircraft type is Airbus A320-200 with CFM56-5A1 engines.
I want to create an autopilot code that loops the plane when it reaches an altitude of 1000m after taking off.
I want to rotate a certain radius like a circle with a right turn and a left turn.
I need your help on how to fix the code.
Thank you.

Nice to see that you are interested in developing but ask help from legoboyvdlp as he is the developer for the A320. Also, if you want the A320 to work, you have to use it in the 2020 version as the aircraft will not work properly in version 2018.

Actually I am the one responsible with the autopilot and flight control systems of the 320.

For this, probably best for you to drive the IT-AUTOFLIGHT system directly and let the existing control loop do the stuff for you. Most of the stuff available at ... ht.2Finput still applies to the 320's customized controllers.

If you take off and engage A/P, then you can enter HDG select mode by commanding lat to 0, then drive the heading select knob how you want to turn the circle.

There is no support in the control system for auto-take-off - you'd have to make your own driver for that.

Kind Regards,
