That sounds great, thanks :) I'll try to learn GIT again, to upload the plane (it doesn't work well on my PC; i need to download the complete fgdata folder every time, because GIT doesn't make any sistem folder or file on my disk...)

Well, Gijs... the aircraft is waiting to a merge in Gitorious. I wish to i made it well

Little update: Now, the aircraft has 2 download links: one for flightGear 2.0, and another for GIT; then, users don't need to edit the xml files to activate shaders.

The plane is very good looking, and it flies nice too, but there are a couple of problems you might want tot take care of:
1. check all the paths for consistency (on Linux and MacOSX "textures" is not the same as "Textures", I had to edit the .ac by hand to get it to load)
2. there was no sound here (latest git)(might be related to the above problem).
Keep up the great job ;)

I fixed it today, some hours ago; i was noticed when commit the plane to Git. Check the link again, and you will find an updated version (Dromader_GIT_2010-11-03.zip). It works well now on my Ubuntu 10.4 (2.0) and Windows Xp (Git). Please, tell me how it works now.

Thanks for your advice.

I am using Ubuntu only to create the models, but all the aircraft estructure was 100% made on Windows by all 3 team members (at least for me, due to the poor Linux support for my audio card). I will be more careful for the next updates.

Now it works. Had a good time "dusting" the tourists on the TNCM beach :P.

Hi everyone!!

THIS PLANE IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I've always wanted a plane in flightgear that was this detailed. Thank you so much for your contribution to the flightgear community El Flauta!!!!

Cheers!
Pilot Penguin

P.S. I've also found that this plane works as an aerobatics aircraft. The dust particles sure look a lot like smoke :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks again. We still on development; news coming soon... (When study allow them; it's near end of study year here).

And well, the particles are smoke, and smoke are particles. The Dromader has good maneuverability, but are not really good for aerobatics. The max. AoA is just 30º, and can't make a barrel... however, it makes nice spins.

I saw an M-18/T45 (PT-6 turbine engine) on TV tonight. It was carrying magnetometer gear under its wings, searching for sunken ships in shallow water.

The Dromader keeps in development, and a great update is coming soon.

Now, the M18B have new instruments -mostly working- all of them based on pics & info taken from a real Dromader cockpit (thanks to CONAF firefighter pilots & technicians for make it possible!). Some of the instruments are new on FlightGear, like RPM & Volt digital meters. However, the systems still in a basic status.

The FDM have been improved, with an important CG position fix, fuel tanks, new eye-view point. It will receive new sounds, recorded from the real Dromader engines. We will upload a new version in some days. :) We just need to end some fixes, audio edition and animations.

Nice plane, wrong thread...?
Look for "B-BIRD" "N127KY" or "AVA0004" -that's me.

Despite having over 1700 posts here, I am not even close to being the most skilled guy here... I'm just words and bad drawing, not experience. :P

No need to make another thread only to ask if someone is interest in this plane and maybe can make it. If someone make it then new thread will be necessarry :)
