Hi Nick,

I was wondering, it's no rush at all.

But since you're working on the CRJ-200 at the moment if you wouldn't mind chopping off 5 windows from the fuselage in front of the wing and making the CL-601 business jet...Just a thought

Well, at least if we can work on the liveries while you are working on the rest of the package we can surely put out a great product :D

Please, please ,please, just chop off 5 windows in front of the wing too, for the CL-601!!! Just give me a full UV map of that and I can start work on the liveries. 8)

I definitely had the private jets in my mind for the CRJ-200. But I would need some sort of diagram to match up to.

Hello,
Just to let you know; I'm busy making new sounds for the 787 and the CRJ-200 to add some more realism to these great planes
I hope you like this!

I'll check my course material...I did the Challenger Avionics Maintenance course in 1983 at Canadair, I might still have the pilot handbook stuck away in a box, somewhere.

EDIT

I found the book!!! :D

It is for the CL-600 but the only visual differences between it and the CL-601 on the outside are the winglets and the GE engines. The CL-600 had crappy Lycoming engines and no winglets. The GE engines are essentially the same as those on the A-10 or S-3 Viking but have an aluminium front fan instead of titanium. On the inside, the 600's have conventional instruments and the 601 has EFIS (glass cockpit).

Those diagrams definitely look useful-I'll see what I can do with them this week.

As for the sounds, make sure to post them here once they're ready! Check with the existing sound.xml files to see which effects are currently used (though I certainly could add some more).

Feels like years since I've posted here!

Anyways, here's what I've done over the past week on the CRJ-200. I've finished up remapping the wing to a separate, larger texture. I've fixed up the glitches that come with that. Currently I'm trying to find a way to use lightmaps to light up the leading edge of the wing-I need to find a way to get the lit up bits of the leading edge of the wing to be the only parts showing, with the rest of it transparent. Otherwise it looks really weird when you try to turn on the winglights during the day.

I think I fixed the problem-try this out.

http://www.mediafire.com/?38kezqfffj1b1i3

The only problem it has is that you can see the lit up texture when the lights are on during the day. This is because I added a duplicate of the wing edge and mapped it to a transparent version of the texture I use for the lightmap. Git only release-use only with a recently updated version of Git.

Found a CRJ200 flight crew manual on 4shared! http://www.4shared.com/file/QRDbXcSK/CR ... _Crew.html

Bombardier's been cracking down on illegal copies of their documents (don't know why, they are the only manufacturer I know who does this), so get it while it lasts!

It looks like it covers most of the same main things as the one I have, but it might not go into the same amount of detail. I'll send you what I have probably either tomorrow or Monday, because I'll have LOTS of homework to do once I get back home.

New CRJ-200 Release!

http://www.mediafire.com/?d83336wf87nvw3s

I haven't done much. I updated the liveries to fit the slightly changed mapping, mostly the winglets. Now they have about 4x the pixels for added detail.

Image

So far that's the only "detailed" winglet design in the CRJ-200's liveries. And it's on a 1024 size livery (I had to redo that little bit for this release).

I'm going to wait before working on the cockpit more-I want to see what's going to be shared between the CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 series.

This is an old feature, but in the 787 or CRJ-200 menu at the top, click Toggle contrails.
