Gustavo, it's really not upto that. It's upto whether he actually wants to. Whilst yes he has done a good job on the 773, perhaps its time for someone else to step up to the plate for the A320family.

I think he has departed the forums. Dissappointing really. He's done some good work (CRJ700family) and some really bad work (A320, 717, 757)

I would if I had enough skills, but unfortunately, I don't.

Connect you, or others, just need to want to.

The A320neo it's my first and only develop of a FG Aircraft, and LEBB Airport the first and only Airport.

I think it was his belief that the latest release was stable.

Jon, when I edit files it effs up bad, any aircraft. I modeled one airport, but it wasn't that good, comparative to airports like Gatwick, Chubu Centrair or even Bilbao.

Whatever I do, I'm usually immensely let down. I just don't have any of the skills required to deveop anything.

Woah, excuse my double post.

But I have been touching up the A319-231s FDM, I know it uses the A320s FDM so making it work for the other aircraft in the family shouldn't be hard, but there is always the option to touch up the others.

The A319 now has a slightly more realistic FDM, although it failed to takeoff on my first test, so it's still a bit heavy. I'm unsure on how to fix the rudder problem, so if someone does, please tell me.

Cheers,
Sam.

EDIT: Rudder problem FIXED

Hi Connect!

It would be interesting, if we could work together for Airbus A320[neo] familys FDMs

Please, take a look at the FDM flying feel for the Develop branch of the A320neo:
https://gitorious.org/airbus-aircraft/a ... ll/Develop

Where can I download you development to take a look?

I think the main difference between A318, 19, 20 and 21, is the weight and the Moment Forces, how heavy the flight surface move the aircraft. in A321, maybe the is some changes on the Wings definitions.

With all due respect I would like to decline your request on the grounds that the A320neo-family FDMs are going to be fairly different to the regular A320-family.
No downloads as of yet. Myself and a single friend have been testing it (I wanted a second opinion) but at the moment, I dot think its quite ready for download.
I've also added some flight recorder code to the aircraft's set .xml

(I've been working on the A319-131 for my next YouTube video.)

Cheers,
Sam.

I've had an issue on several of the airbus family members that they dont reach cruising altitude in MTOW. Is this something that you also encountered and/or fixed with the new fdm?

also, the airbusses i have right now are far too "twitchy" on the controls, would be nice to have them fly more like a passenger jet than a go-kart ;)

In their FDMs, increase the inertia values (ixx. iyy and izz) to what you feel right.

sorry, could you point a fella who has no idea about fdm's to the filename that I can find these values in?

Connect, thats ok ;-)

But in my opinion, i don't think A320 and A320neo are going to be that different that they need separate FDMs... :|

The differences are:

- Engines (separate file)
- Winglets (drag value)
- Stronger and lighter Airframe

and thats all... (i think)
--------------------------------------------------

mischka, witch is the A320 Ceiling at MTOW ? can't find at the moment, any Weight and Ceiling diagram....

--------------------------------------------------

Omega95, I think it's more on the Roll, Yaw and pitch surface moment value multiplier.

Increasing Inertia values, will give you the fell of heavy aircraft

Mischka, never you mind. I'm hoping to get at least an alpha release of this update out tomorrow morning AEST (=2100 or so UTC) I have never encountered your problem, but then, I've really only flown the A320-231 and A319-131

Thanks for the tip Narendran. Fixing up the thrust values and the aircraft's weight (among a few other things) also helped with that, although in the state I've the FDM in now, I feel it is too touchy.

Cheers,
Sam.

Oh by the way, should I move this update to a separate thread :S

I don't know, but I think if I put max fuel and max passengers, the thing should reach at least fl320 right? Try it, I can't get it up there.

:S well I've never experienced that. Many a time have I cruised at ca. 35000+ft in an A320.

I hope my update can fix whatever your problem was.

I did however one rather large oddity in the FDM (again, for the A319-131) it had the empty weight as 10000lbs. I knew this was wrong instantaneously, the thrust was also something like 15000lbs of thrust. Fixed them to 90000 and 24000lbs respectively.

Cheers,
Sam.
