No, that would be pointless, and would only cause confusion. Some of the veterans here know what I mean...

narendran changing numbers dont really change the concept of -A321- whether its a321-231 or a321-232 or even a321-XXX its still an A321 and looks like a A321 and will be easy for people to confuse models

I'm using the A320 211 from fgdata GIT (hope this is latest?) and I have a major auto-pilot problem:
- I Start with CEB "design" in RPLL (Manila) and entered RPVM (Cebu) as destination in route manager
- I clicked RPVM in the waypoint list (required step for next one)
- I hit "Route" and then "Activate" button
- I started (or auto-started) the engines and took off
- I hit F11 key to get up auto-pilot settings
- I checked all three checkboxes
- The auto-pilot headed the airplane to 360 heading and not to the first waypoint. :(

Any ideas?

In the autopilot dialog, click the "LNAV" button to switch to Route Manager hold.

So LNAV is for following FMS settings (Route Manager) and LOC follows the NAV1 beacon. If I find some time I note this down in the Wiki page.

I really should write an autopilot guide for the CRJ900/717/A320 autopilots, as I'm sure they confuse the heck out of anyone used to the "generic" autopilot.

Some features for playing around with them and some bugs:
- Operateable tablets and seats
- The windows in passenger cabin are not look-through, they are grayed (alpha blending)

While taxing/take-off and landing and while the seat-belt sign is turned on, you should move your chair in upright position and secure the tablet in front of you for you own safety. It would be nice to have that (just for playing around with it  ).

Hi skyop, hi everyone!

I followed your development for the last weeks. Great work!

Some minutes ago I downloaded the latest version from your git including changes from 1. March 01:46.
Maybe there is a bug, because fg won’t start.
To describe this:
I start fgrun, select one of your aircrafts (regardless which), select the airport (tested with LOWI, LOWW, KSFO) and click on the start button.
FG window opens with the splash picture, after some seconds the window closes and this text is in the cmd window:
Code: Select all
Processing command line arguments
Unknown top level section: tcas
Fatal error: Detected an internal inconsistency in the instrumentation
system specification file. See earlier errors for details.

Does anybody have the same problem?
Every version of a320 family worked for me before.

Kind regards
Thomas

Thomas, please use the search functionality of this forum.
search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keywords=tcas would bring you up with viewtopic.php?p=115991#p115991 (which is about the same "problem" in a different aircraft).

If any of you are using the 1.9.1/2.0.0 version of the A320-family and are unable to start up the plane, please post any Nasal errors in your command line log (the black window for Windows users).

I have gotten reports that systems.nas is broken on 1.9.1/2.0.0. If so, this is a major bug, and must be squashed ASAP. Please, tell me if the plane works or not...

Based on your output, my guess is that the A320 is not compatible with FG 1.9.1. Of course, maybe there is someone more knowledgeable than me that can chime in...

Here is line 110 in systems.nas:
Code: Select all
 if (props.globals.getNode("sim/failure-manager/engines/engine[" ~ engine_no ~ "]/serviceable").getBoolValue())

FG not being able to read an engine failure property sounds quite strange to me...

Now that makes things even stranger. Every Git user has reported a positive experience with A320-family.

Please, try to start up the engines again, and post any command-line output.

And use the A320-family version in Git, not the latest release.
