The spool time are within limits....

If in case you have not noticed, the engine is running at 20-25% of the capacity even if u throttle down your stick....
If i am flying at 33000, i will prepare for approach some 90nm away....i guess that explains how it works....

I noticed that but I went to google and found a article criticizing this aircraft for its speed in comparision to newer aircrafts. So, it's realistic I guess lol. I trust xsaint

You are right Rick Ace...Though IL96 has 4 engines, the total thrust are comparably lower then 2 engines found on 777-200ER.Once it has attain stable flight/ALT, Il-96-400 does indeed gives a great performance as comparable to western aircrafts.The same can't be said of Il-96-300.....and now i understand a newer version of engines are on development.So let's hope it can put in a better performance for the IL-96-400....
