xsaint, the newly modelled IL-96 isn't available for download yet is it?

And if not, when do you anticipate it will be?

P.S. I would love to see a Qantas livery on one of these

Hello Luko....

This version is under going some final test...
Once i am satisfied with the results, i will create the 400T and will release the package soon....real soon....
As for Qantas, that should be relatively easy to make...i will do so in next few days

cheers

Ya know, a while back there was a rumor that the United Aircraft Corporation was going to enter the the Il-96 in the KC-X competition the USAF is to hold (as a way to choose the plane that will replace the KC-135). Although, if the FAA had allowed for two Il-78s and two Il-14s to be sold here and assigned American registrations, anything is possible

yesterday I downloaded the il96 and like it a lot, its better than the old one I had.

there are, however, some points of improvements:

- the eicas (that shows the engine status) shows the numbers for only two engines, while the others are blank
- in the 777, you can see purple numbers in the PFD, that correspond to the speed/altitude set in the a/p. these dont work in the il96
- the dots for the ILS approach are bit smaller than in the 777, which makes them harder to see
- the gauge for the flap extension has limited functionality. once you extend the minimum of flaps, the bar appears complete. Thus you can see that flaps are extended, but not by how much, which is trivial on approach.
-the handle for the parking brake has disappeared, or does the il96 not have one?

a distinct advantage over the 777 would be if a warning horn sounded when the a/p is disengaged.

apart of that: I love it!

And it's good to hear that you love the IL-96-400 ..... don't crash too often out of love Ok? lol

Take care and cheers!

In this thread i was concentrating on development with not much importance to livery developments...
having said that, you are right the livery of UPS is wrong and deliberately so.it was created for test purpose.... the idea was to have some large fonts on the side of fuselage to see how it looks when it runs over the window glasses....Feel free to modify/create liveries to to your needs...

cheers!
