JSBSim supports solid rocket motors btw. The manual describes a example but doesn't go into much depth.

Thank you guys on your support. :)
For now the model is positioned correctly, unecessary stuff is removed, animation are rewritten (I'll need to make them smoother with interpolations).
I've also edited some previous posts and updated them with some new screenshots.

I've found some errors in mr. D. Culp's FDM so I've generated a new one with aeromatic (rudder couldn't move to the left).
Also that triggered me to expell all foreign code and start from scratch... Not so tuned up like his but it's still flyable. :)

WOW... Looks definitely nice. Great job! It might be a stupid question, but when is it available for testing?

Updated version (based on mr. David Culp's MiG) is available for download at http://sites.google.com/site/pjedvajflightgear/mikoyan-gurevich-mig-21bis/MiG-21bis.zip but it only has generic instruments and the rudder (left) still doesnt work.

Newest version (made from scratch) won't be available untill I tune up a FDM.

It's just a question of time. :)

Current version based on mr. Culp's MiG-21MF includes his excelent FDM, systems and folder structure with my GPLv3 licensed models and files.
I couldn't use his models or instruments from Dave's Pack. I still need to model a brake chute, record some engine and gun sounds and implement instruments...
Fix for rudder issue is more likely to come before my own version with new FDM.

The airframe is simple enough that I could create an FDM using Datcom+. Should I try creating one? It tends to be superior to Aeromatic.

Be my guest:) It's GPL now and anyone can participate or use it.
Original MiG-21MF FDM has influence on many files in systems folder...
Works great and the error only affects rudder movement to the left.

Should be simple enough to fix I think, maybe it's just something in the fcs element that controls the rudder. I have the MiG-21 from the Dave Culp hangar but I think that it's working, however I don't remember.

Both have the same issue. :(

Working on cockpit, gunsight is now fully operational (my first instrument!), radar is just for eyecandy:

Too bad it's hard to see anything on your picture... But nice work anyway...
BTW: If you want to have the proper clock for your MiG, Write me a PM, I have a model if it with some animations.

Thanks B, clock would be great. I don't know where to start, so many instruments! Now I have the manual, sketches and photos but no free time:)
Better screenshot (first one was to show you that it glows in the dark):

I'm sorry to announce you that I'm giving up from GPL MiG-21bis project. Developing solo isn't something I could recomend you, even with the great template like mr. David Culp's MiG-21MF. Biggest trouble was with instruments (really not my speciality). If someone is interested to continue with development or to use this 3D model you're welcome...

Issues with current package:

1. FDM error, rudder can't turn to the left - common with original Mig-21MF
2. Weapon system doesn't work - common with original Mig-21MF
3. Heading indicator doesn't work (generic instrument used)
