Hey, downloading one of my fav's now, thanks! Is the autopilot working now? I want to use it tomorrow in FGUK's saturday night flight through the US, but it's gonna be tough flying without autopilot again

The one thats in the Raptor is pretty much plug and play. It will work with most aircraft right out of the box. ( note I said MOST ).

OK, I'll trust StuartC on his word. Autopilot from F-22 is now included into MiG-21bis…
I didn't want to waste your bandwidth so I've made some fixes on fire.xml path error and liveries (much better looking fish). :D

Got a missing file error :-
Models/Effects/Fire.xml - The XMl is not in the new archive.

The Autopilot works fine in it.

Mitchell, the 21 is not going to make the grade for this weekends flight, too slow and not enough fuel.

Yeah, I've moved it into /Model/Effects/Engine/Fire.xml and forgot to change the path in model's xml file...

Too bad for Mitchel, MiG-21 never had the range, but looking at the bright side - autopilot works! :D

Editing the path in the model.xml fixes the loading error.
Note it wont load at all until its ether edited or rem'd out.

FDM needs some improvements, crash detect sucks and aircraft just bounces. Error wouldn't show up at all if you didn't crash. :D
Don't worry, it's fixed, tested and reuploaded. With my bandwidth it's becoming a challenge as the package grows. :mrgreen:

To make any further development easier I've taged the instruments with text, just press Ctrl-C. Great feature from El Flauta's Cessna. :D Five of them still aren't working, others aren't authentic for MiG-21bis. :( Uploaded!

Nice reference photos for someone who would like to continue the development; http://hunavia.freeweb.hu/TYPE/MiG-21%20base/MiG-21bis/COCKPIT/MiG21BIS_75APCOCKPITIDNo6305/index.html

Are those images GNU/GPL licensed? can we use it to make a photo realistic cockpit like that of TU-154b in FG :?:

there are many similar Russian instruments that are in MiG-21's cockpit are used in TU-154b & Yak-40, if the author allows us we can use it & it will make cockpit look MUCH BETTER :mrgreen:

I doubt they're GPL as they have © watermark. This helped me a lot in cockpit development, It's from MiG-21bis manual, public doman (courtesy of a defeated Yugoslav Peoples Army). :wink:

Although in German, this website describes the cockpit of a Mig-21 in great detail:

Thanks, this could be really helpful for any potential MiG developers. I'm cutting all my old projects off,
possibly I'll be back in few months with Sukhoi Su-25, but with complety different aproach;

* Creative Commons license
* precise high-poly models
* photorealistic textures
* authentic cockpit and instruments
* realistic FDM and systems

Until then, good night and good luck!
