I just tested it and it works great now! Now we are on same level like X-Plane and our aircrafts especially the old warbirds (To come back to topic) will look much nicer!

No annoyance, rather motivating .
For the moment it isn't available anywhere. Earliest ETA for a beta release is mid to late April. Still got to texture the cockpit and to add some instruments. Also some fdm tweaks are still needed.
(from what i understand i have to make it available somewhere else other than CVS, to get it reviewed and included, so most likely it will be available for download)

This aircraft (and the shader) is FREAKIN' AMAZING!!! Well done! I agree that this will be one of the best aircraft in FG, along with the TU-154B.

The shader is a great advance in FlightGear, which, when implemented into more aircraft, will bring FG into the ranks of MSFS and X-Plane!

One again, well done! I can't wait till it is released

I would hope it is as accurate as the p-51's fdm where it requires pitch trim adjusting every other second.

been away for Easter. hope everyone had a nice and happy one.

this plane has only pitch trim adjustment (the rudder and ailerons were trimmed on the ground, so i've trimmed it to fly straight in cruise config).
taxiing is a bit hard, since there's no tail wheel (only a metalic skid).
right now i'm working on the instruments, wich is a bit tedious (lots of conversions into metric...).

Wow! What you call Alpha, is for many aircraft production status!

Incredible work!

The fdm seems to be quite accurate, at least I was able to take-off once wothout any problem.
The graphic work is outstanding- this and the realistic startup, fdm etc. lifts us up to MSFS and higher.

The onlx issue I saw was when I started on the rwy_ i had serious trouble with fps there, but once lifted off the fps was in the usual range. I guess some problem with some fx-effect, or nasal?

the sslowdown might have something to do with the smoke/dust effects, if you use the external views at take-off, otherwise i see no diference ( except when flying over too dense forests, and that's my fault for fiddling with the materials.xml )
also with CVS i get some slowdown in the cockpit view with the landmass shader enabled (on any quality setting)


the startup procedure isn't quite implemented yet (it will start just fine if you take shortcuts )
but i've written it there asa a reminder

Unfortunately doesn't run for me (fgfs 2.0.0 Linux slackware binary). I get the following display of (none too helpful) errors

and upon startup I don't see the model at all. I checked that the files all exist, so this doesn't seem to be the problem. Maybe it requires CVS - in this case it would perhaps be nice to remark that next to the download link.

It is made for 2.0.0( for CVS you might want to change some lines in the model.xml)

Well, I guess it could be a case senstive-error... No problem on win32.

hi, sorry to hear about that. here i've developed it and tested on fgfs 2.0 on linux, so there should be no problem with case sensitivity, or versions.
(i used win32 cvs only to test the new shaders that are in cvs). and those error messages don't help me either .

edit: woops... might be my fault.. please check permisions and ownership on the IAR80 folder... (if you preserved ownership when extracting ... my bad for releasing in the middle of the night )
