First of all, I think it's important to know which FDM you are using.

Could you maybe send a flight log or a video? That would make it a bit easier

HHS,

Great info. I am looking for someone capable of making the graphical (3D) model of a new aircraft. Are you interested?

Can someone pleas update wiki page http://wiki.flightgear.org/Howto:Create ... sh_screens ?

It says "that is very easy to do, just by looking at the documentation". But what documentation should I look at? I suppose this wiki page is that documentation. But as it states "This article or section contains out-of-date information". And indeed, there is no information what is the difference between

Code: Select all
<startup>
    <splash-texture>Aircraft/MYPLANE/Splash/splash1.jpg</splash-texture>
</startup>
and
Code: Select all
<previews>
      <preview>
          <splash type="bool">true</splash>
          <path>Splash/splash1.jpg</path>
      </preview>
      <preview>
          <splash type="bool">true</splash>
          <path>Splash/splash2.jpg</path>
      </preview>
</previews>

Content of which elements is displayed on splash screen? I suppose
Code: Select all
<description></description>
and
Code: Select all
<author></author>

Is still true, that "dimensions must be powers of two"?

Is there something else I should know about splash screens (recommended size, etc.)?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone made E135/140/145? I'd like to see them in FG, also A221 and A223 (ICAO) (was CS10 and CS30)

Good day Khalid,
I am part of the development team of the CS100, but the project has more or less been put on a hold until enough documentation is available. You can view the latest version at https://github.com/ACJZA/CSeries but it is impossible to simulate an aircraft decently (systems, instruments, FDM, essentially everything) without having the required information.
Once this information (respectively an FCOM) is available, we (at least I would like to) will continue the project, but please keep in mind modelling a decent aircraft takes years.

This sounds pretty much like a command or an order and I hope for you very much that this was not how you meant it to sound as that would be very rude, considering all developers are volunteers spending their free time. Also, people will usually focus on aircraft they like to model and not the ones that others like to be modelled - keep in mind how many (thousands) hours go into an aircraft until it's "complete" or anything close. If you'd like to have these aircraft in FG, why don't you try and do them yourself? We're always open to new contributors (I hope), if you'd like to get started, just ask :)

"Making it by myself" I am not sure about that, but A220-100 and 300 are new names for CS100 and 300.

I noted that there was a stub article on the FlightGear Wiki named Creating an aircraft on the wiki, so I improved it "a bit": :wink: Howto:Create an aircraft (perm).

That are things that I am barely or not touching like shaders, sound or directory structure that could need a helping hand from someone else. Keep in mind though that this article briefly mentions the different concepts so that a new developer can get a grip on what makes an aircraft in FlightGear function and roughly how one would make one. In essence it is meant as a starting point, nothing more, nothing less.
