Using blend animation for propeller

Postby weirdgyn » Sun Jun 27, 2021 2:49 pm

Hallo, nobody tried to use blend animation to fade propeller proportionally with RPM?
Is it possible ? Will it work?

This should work. For a similar way using the material animation, see https://sourceforge.net/p/flightgear/fg ... 6.xml#l298

Flightgears internal animation is so versatile, allowing for such complex and realistic effects that I would advise not reinventing the wheel in this particular case but instead open up a debate to establish the best and easiest possible animation effect and making that a standard and as reusable as possible.

It is possible and i wrote the animation to test it.
You can see it on the C182. The team of that aircraft has include it.

Sure. I used it on Prop and Propdisk on the spitfireIX and b26
