Hi, I need to develop a Macchi MC 202 Folgore aircraft for FlightGear.
I'm pretty new to all of this and in FlightGear in particualr but I'm willing to learn and I have 15 years experience in sim-engines, 3d design, programming etc etc.
Right now I have a good 3d aircraft model (or at least it seems good to me) already converted in AC3D format (with every 'moving' part designed as a separate node).
I have a lot of documentation on Macchi MC 202 Folgore aircraft.
Following the guide I tought to start from a similar existing aicraft and 'changing' it to match my needs.
For some historical similarity I decided to start from bf109 (only to discover that the few starting similarities disappeared in -g version).
There's a better approach or a different plane to start from? I read starting from scratch is not the best practice ....
The work made right now is here:

One first doubt is to take into account (if possible) the half wings different lengths.
I read that Yasim allow using of multiple wing sections from 2018.3 ... is it possible? Will it work in term of simulation (i.e. it will compensate propeller inducted roll) ?
Best regards,
Michele Santucci
