There's this one. It doesn't have Autostart capabilities and it certainly isn't that great regarding system depth, but it's definitely better than the one in the default FGaddon flightgear hangar. The 3d modeling on this one is also pretty good.

ok just found out that because i installed with the add on planes feature there might be something wrong that makes the exterior and cockpit unable to render

After you download and unpack the aircraft folder, you have to then put that folder into a NEW folder with the same title as the aircraft folder. I think what you're doing is not putting the downloaded folder into a new directory, which causes a low poly glider to come in. Then in the add-ons section of the FG launcher, you have to click "Add aircraft Folder", and select the main folder.

If that bothers you, feel free to fix it and add an autostart function to it. Otherwise, just use an other aircraft.

And after some will come on this forum to criticize my models and their simple and fast AutoStart..... Without understanding that the majority of users just want fun and have a good time knowing that they are not and will never be modern liner pilots. I launched the A380 and indeed, it's just unusable.

Usability does not equal ease of usability in case of airliners...

Is there a startup procedure anywhere?

Really simple (FG Addon one):
Turn on APU and then APU BLEED on the overhead, put the ENG START into the IGN START position
Turn on the engine master switches.
With the omega A380 you need to turn on the batteries first (and make sure all OFF lights which are actually clickable are no longer showing [Airbus "lights out" philosophy]) then do the steps above

Thanks, "Turn on APU" is Master SW.

So it was...

On overhead...
Master SW, APU BLEED , ENG START to IGN START

On center console...
4 engine master switches to on.

For anyone wanting an autostart for the fgaddon version of the A380, paste the following code into the menu items in the A380-set.xml file starting at line 449
Code: Select all
            <item>
               <label>Autostart</label>
               <binding>
                  <command>nasal</command>
                  <script>
                     gui.popupTip("Please wait for engines to spin up!", 25);
                     setprop("/controls/APU/run", 1);
                     setprop("/controls/pressurization/apu/bleed-on", 1);
                     setprop("/controls/engines/ign-start", 1);
                     settimer(func(){
                        gui.popupTip("Please wait a few more seconds, engines are now spinning up!", 15);
                        setprop("/controls/engines/engine/master", 1);
                        setprop("/controls/engines/engine[1]/master", 1);
                        setprop("/controls/engines/engine[2]/master", 1);
                        setprop("/controls/engines/engine[3]/master", 1);
                     }, 25.0);
                  </script>
               </binding>
            </item>

And for the A380-omega, I'm not positive this is the exact correct startup procedure, but it works well enough to get the aircraft started.

Insert in A380-omega-set.xml starting at line 500
Code: Select all
                  <item>
                     <label>Autostart</label>
                     <binding>
                        <command>nasal</command>
                        <script>
                           gui.popupTip("Please wait for engines to spin up!", 25);
                           setprop("/controls/lighting/beacon", 0);
                           setprop("/controls/lighting/landing-lights", 0);
                           setprop("/controls/APU/start", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/APU/master-switch", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/pressurization/apu/bleed-on", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/ign-start", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/engine/cutoff", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/engine[1]/cutoff", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/engine[2]/cutoff", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/engine[3]/cutoff", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/engine/starter", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/engine[1]/starter", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/engine[2]/starter", 1);
                           setprop("/controls/engines/engine[3]/starter", 1);
                           settimer(func(){
                              gui.popupTip("Please wait a few more seconds, engines are now spinning up!", 15);
