Hello random surprise mode!

I already experienced elec failure at night with the c182s as i developed it, and it was good to have the flashlight! :D

Hi benih!

I'm about to implement some kind of 'failure system' into the An-24 (first I have to re-sort the electrical system completely into JSBSim); When(-ever) this is done, can I use "random surprise mode on" as menu-title for it? - I mean it seriously because that is funny!

Ciao,

Adrian

Of course, you can implement it like you wish :)

I took the route to implement it for the C182S as a subsection of the "aircraft failure dialog":

Btw. for preflight training you can just enter 0.1 as minute parameter in A) mode.

EDIT: oh and my implementation supports startup parameters for the launcher, see here: https://github.com/HHS81/c182s/blob/mas ... rise-modes

The code piggybacks on the existing failure manager.

Ah, I see! I will definitely look into THAT code!
0.1 is a good idea to check ones preflight check (checks have to be checked, too!).
Looking back at the video, I think I will re-implent a flashlight first - I had the ALS flashlight implemented once, but removed it because I thought it was a rather unnecessary gimmick. Wrong!

Thanks!

The nasal stuff is here: https://github.com/HHS81/c182s/blob/mas ... ilures.nas
GUI is this: https://github.com/HHS81/c182s/blob/mas ... ilures.xml

in the -set.xml:
Code: Select all
<failures>
<file>Aircraft/Generic/limits.nas</file>
<file>Aircraft/c182s/Nasal/custom-failures.nas</file>
</failures>
