Difference between .xml and set.xml

Postby Delta5142 » Thu Feb 18, 2021 8:17 pm

Hello,
What's the difference between the aircraft.xml and the aircraft-set.xml?

Thank you in advance,

The set file is the default that the sim will parse first. It basically contains the roadmap as to how to layout all the aircraft parts and systems. No set file and the sim will be blind and unable to load the data.

FG recognise a aircraft by searching for a file named '*-set.xml'.
This file is the starting point for FG to load the aircraft. Every other files are referenced from this file.
