Whoops.
I have changed the link, it should be OK now.

My present VC10 model is of the prototype aircraft. The main difference from later wing versions is that it has clipped wing tips. The curved extensions were added to reduce drag. See
http://www.vc10.net/Technical/wing_shapes.html.
These extensions are commonly known as Kuchemann wing tips after the German aerodynamicst who designed them. At the time he worked for the RAE at Farnborough, and also lectured at my alma mater - Imperial College London. These days these Kuchemann wingtips have bee replaced by the more effective winglets.
The RAF version shown in the drawing is of the RAF version. This has a small extension at the rear of the fuselage to house an APU. It also has a refueling probe in front of the windscreen. There are other detail changes in later versions ,such as cargo door, number of passenger windows, additonal smalll wing fences, and a modified wing leading edge giving a larger wing area. Most of these are only visible to folk wearing anoraks.
http://www.vc10.net gives a very good overview.
